During one deer season, all the guys were coming back in with news that "there just aren't any deer! We can't find any!". Uncle Basil listened to all the talk and pretty soon he was up and putting on his coat. Ron called out, "Where ya going Dad?" Uncle Basil just replied he was going for a walk. After a little bit we all moved outside by the trucks and we heard a gunshot followed by another one after a few minutes. None of us thought anything about it until we saw Uncle Basil walking back with his gun. When he got up to us he plainly stated, without missing a step...."Well. I got my two." That's Uncle Basil!!!

Going "Over the Mountain" meant biscuits, walks, swings, hummingbirds, Christmas, sitting on the porch, so many stories, and lots of love!!!! Uncle Basil will be missed by many, but loved by all.

All my love to Ron, Peggy and the family.....
